Kapow Technologies Javier Rojas (Chairman of the Board) - Managing Director, Kennet Partners

Javier leads the U.S. investment activities of Kennet Partners. He is currently on the board of Daptiv, Go Internet Media, and Intelepeer. Prior to joining Kennet, he was a managing director of Broadview International and led its West Coast software and services practice. Javier specializes in advising high-growth, early-stage companies on how to capitalize on emerging technology markets and partnering opportunities. He has invested and/or advised on a number of successful companies and high value exits including Etek, Webex, Looksmart, Blue Mountain Arts, When.com and Rightworks. Previously, Javier was with Morgan Stanley. Earlier, he founded a software firm that developed products for capital markets interest rate and currency swap traders. He holds an MBA degree from The Harvard Business School and a BAS degree from Georgetown University.

Kapow Technologies John Yapaola - Chief Executive Officer

John has more than 20 years experience in founding and managing high-growth, technology startup companies. He has a well rounded background in sales, marketing, business development and operations, and has led several companies to successful M&A deals and IPOs.

Prior to Kapow Technologies, John served as CEO of Let's Think Wireless, a wireless infrastructure design, engineering, and installation company. He also served as Executive Vice President of Business Development for Paytrust (acquired by Intuit), where he was responsible for developing and implementing its business development strategy. In addition, John held roles of Executive Vice President of Operations for the Americas at The Fantastic Corporation, and Vice President of Sales at Logic Works. John is a founding member of the New York Angels Investment Group and serves on the board of several privately held companies. He holds a B.S. in business administration from St. Peter’s College.

Kapow Technologies Stefan Andreasen - Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Stefan is a serial technology entrepreneur with more than 20 years experience in designing innovative enterprise software.

In 1998, he started Kapow.com, which became Europe’s largest marketplace for luxury goods. In 2001, Stefan sold Kapow.com to the largest bank in Denmark and took the intellectual property for the Web data extraction software platform that powered the site to start Kapow Technologies. He evolved that platform into an enterprise-class data integration solution, known today as the Kapow Web Data Server.

In his current role as Founder and CTO, Stefan focuses on product innovation and is an evangelist for the company. He has consulted with hundreds global companies and ISVs on best practices for web data integration and speaks frequently at industry events on topics such as enterprise software innovation and Web 2.0 trends. Earlier in his career, Stefan spent five years with Advanced Visual Systems, where he worked on cutting-edge Java and visual programming projects. He graduated with honors from Denmark’s top technical university.

Kapow Technologies Beau Laskey - Managing Director, Steamboat Ventures

Beau has spent the last 15 years in technology, finance and operational leadership roles, focusing on media, entertainment and consumer infrastructure technologies. In addition to Kapow, he also serves on the board of Ontela. Beau's prior investments include Zyray Wireless, acquired by Broadcom (NASDAQ: BRCM), Clarity Technologies, acquired by Cambridge Silicon Radio (LSE: CSR), Sircon (acquired by Vertafore), Arbor Networks, Alfalight, Arxan Technologies, IntelePeer, RockeTalk, Greenplum and Xtera Communications. Early in his career, Beau was a Managing Director of EDF Ventures in San Diego, an early stage venture capital fund. Beau started his career as an officer in the Navy SEAL Teams and completed deployments with SEAL Team One and Eight to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Beau earned a BS in Economics and General Engineering with Merit as a graduate of the US Naval Academy, and an MBA with Distinction in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Strategy from The University of Michigan Business School.

Kapow Technologies Chris Keene - CEO, Wavemaker Software

Chris is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience running public and private enterprise software companies. He was the founder of Persistence Software, a NASDAQ-listed company that pioneered the field of data transformation and caching for high transaction systems. Persistence investors included Cisco, Intel, Reuters Morgan Stanley and Sun Microsystems. Chris is also the chairman of Reportive SA, a business intelligence company. Previous work experience includes McKinsey & Company, Hewlett Packard and Medaid. Chris is an accomplished speaker and educator and has served on the entrepreneurship faculty at INSEAD University and at the Berkeley Haas School of Business. Chris earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, and holds a Bachelors Degree with honors in math sciences from Stanford University.

Kapow Technologies Thomas Weilby Knudsen - Managing Partner, North Cap Partners

Thomas has extensive experience in establishing new businesses within the Internet, software and telecom markets across Europe and the United States. He became Chairman of Kapow Technologies in 2002, and led the company’s first VC investment through his firm North Cap Partners. Before entering the VC profession, Thomas held many roles as an operating executive in ERP consulting, IT and telecoms, and held several senior management positions at companies including Cybercity and TDC (NYSE: TDC). While at TDC, he held various positions including International Director for the Internet division before taking on the role of Managed Service Manager at Cybercity, a leading Danish broadband ISP. Thomas has board experience from TDC Hosting (eStructure), Nangate, VisioPharm among other IT companies. He holds an M.S. in economics and business administration.
