Collection and Use of Information
Registration Information: We may ask you to register before allowing you to use certain features of our Site (for example, before you can view a webinar on the Site or post a comment to the Site), if applicable. The information we request at registration generally includes your name, contact information (including physical address and email address), company name, and title, and information about any projects or budgets which might be applicable.
Correspondence: You may choose to provide your personal information to KAPOW by communicating with KAPOW through emails, for instance, to obtain information about our products and services, to report a problem with the Site, or to apply for a job at KAPOW. The types of personal information you provide to us may include name, address, phone number, e-mail address, contact preferences, educational and employment background, and job interest data. This information will be used to respond to your requests or inquiries.
Surveys: To personalize our Site, services or communications and improve our products and services, we may also ask you to provide us with information regarding your personal or professional interests, demographics, and experiences with our products or services. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the user has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Survey information will be used on an aggregate basis for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of the Site.
Servers' Domains: The Site server automatically collects data about your server's domain when you visit the Site. For example, if you visit us from your Yahoo account, our server will record a visit from Yahoo.com. Our server may also record the referring page that linked you to us, e.g., an affiliate web site or a search engine. We use this information for the purposes of tracking the web site that referred you to us and we sometimes provide this information in aggregated non-personally identifiable form to our affiliates. Our server will not automatically record your name or e-mail address. Your e-mail address and other personally identifying data will not be known to KAPOW unless you voluntarily submit them to us.
IP Addresses: We may collect IP addresses. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are navigating the Internet. Internet servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Site or to determine general IP information and to aggregate site use information.
We also collect and measure information on visitor activity on the Site, such as the number of visits to the Site, average time spent on the Site, pages viewed, and similar information.
We use anonymous information in the aggregate to analyze trends and statistics and to measure the use of our Site, to improve the Site, and to help us provide better customer service.
We may share the personal information you provide with other companies or individual consultants we have hired to provide services for us. KAPOW contracts with third-party service providers and suppliers to deliver complete products, services and customer solutions. Suppliers and service providers are required to keep confidential the information received on behalf of KAPOW and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for KAPOW.
In addition, we reserve the right to disclose any content, records or electronic communication of any kind (including without limitation personal information or private electronic communication transmitted on the Site): (i) to satisfy any law, regulation, or government request; (ii) if such disclosure is necessary to operate our business; or (iii) to protect the rights or property of KAPOW or its users.
When you provide your personal information in any registration form on the Site, you automatically "opt-in" to receive future email communications from us. However, you always have the opportunity and right to opt-out of receiving further communications or promotional materials from KAPOW by clicking "unsubscribe" in the email communication you received from KAPOW.
Keeping Your Information Secure
KAPOW uses commercially reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to maintain the confidentiality of the information we collect online. The Site has security measures in place that are intended to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We use standard industry security measures to protect our Site and servers through which the Site is provided, and we periodically review and update our web security and security procedures.
Although we exercise reasonable care to maintain the confidentiality of the personal information we collect online, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee that the personal information you submit to us will be free from unauthorized third party intrusion.
Information You Post on the Site
If you post information on the Site, including without limitation, comments on any blog, you understand that such information will be publicly available and you have no expectation of privacy or confidentiality regarding such information.
